Setting Up WeChat Pay

Step-by-Step Setup

1. Download and Register WeChat

  1. Download WeChat

    • iOS: App Store
    • Android: Google Play or WeChat official website
  2. Register Account

    • Tap “Sign Up” → “I’m a New User”
    • Select country/region code (e.g., +1, +44)
    • Enter phone number → verify with SMS

2. Upgrade to WeChat Pay

  1. Go to MeServices (or “Wallet” on older versions)

  2. Add Card

    • Tap “Cards” → “Add Card”
    • Select “Visa” or “Mastercard”
  3. Enter Card Details

    • Card number, expiry, CVV
    • Cardholder name (as on card)
  4. Identity Verification

    • Tap “Verify Now” or complete later
